Cyclones 04:24
She came in like a cyclone tearing apart everything you know, destroying the foundation of your soul. She came in like a cyclone but your heart was betrothed, still I can't get you out of my head, I can't let it go. The love you stole, was not your own. Now I'm running for the hills, waiting for you show. The life I built I though was made of stone. Break me darling, break me slow. I'll set fire to the mountain. So you could feel the heat and wreck my world. (What little is left of the romantic in me still wants to believe that the infinite weight of colossal expectation won't explode in the center of your chest. But it doesn't matter anyway don't you know she's not interested, she's looking for something more "conventional," so now you're counting the days, the hours and minutes, because it's only a matter of time ... until she's fucking all your friends. Ain't that the truth of the matter, because honor is a lost art."

First time I met that girl she was wearing a purple dress, or maybe it was blue? I don't remember I was drunk as piss. In the morning I got a message on my telephone. It said, "Hey get up boy, it's time to go." I met her up in the city. She was wearing a summer dress. We poured liquor in our coffee to drink in the park. After the sun went down we hit up all those goddamn crowded bars. We drank southern comfort, and yelled to hear each other, until she said, "It's getting late boy. Sleep's calling my number." We left the lights of the city, I reached out to hold her little hand. She said better hold on, better make it last long. First time I left that girl she sealed it with a kiss. In an old elevator she said,"Well darling, see ya later." 8,000 miles and an ocean in between, we talked across hours and computer screens. She said, "Meet me in a southern city when I get home in May." I showed her Atlanta, Georgia. She showed me Tampa, Florida. I went to Colorado. She went to New Mexico. 10-hour drives, two-hour flights, ain't nothing gonna keep me from that girl tonight. She is the light of the city. Ain't it strange how love finds a way. She said better hold on, better make it last long.

She wakes up in last night's make up, wash the ugly night right off her face. She's gonna go out, let her hair down, block the sun with her fancy shades. It ain't easy being you, it ain't easy to do what you do to get the looks you're used to, and everywhere you go they turn their heads ... Cuz you've been running 'round this town all day. In heels, short skirt, you're tired and your feet hurt. They look, but don't touch, there's joy in her strut. Oh don't you know what you do to the boys in the summer heat? Suffering for fashion, grinning cheek to cheek. Going round knocking stares to the ground, bouncing like you run this whole damn town. She got places to go, she got people to see, she knows the name of every street. The way she moves and shakes her hips, the soft pink tint to her sweet lips. t ain't easy being you, it ain't easy to do what you do to get the looks you're used to, and everywhere you go they turn their heads ... Well ... I've been seeing you running round this town. All day. Everywhere you go they say you're beautiful. Must get old?
